ITINERARY:

PICKUP & DROP: LEH AIRPORT

DAY 01:  ARRIVAL AT LEH

On arrival at Leh airport, greet and meet for assistance by our representative and transfer to the hotel.  Rest of the day free for acclimatization. In the evening, walk around the vegetable market or Leh Bazaar. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 02: LEH SIGHTSEEING

After breakfast, drive downstream along the river Indus on Leh – Kargil Highway. Enjoy sightseeing by exploring Hall of Fame (Museum Constructed by India Army) near Leh which is worth a visit for every Indian and proceed further to see Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, nestled deep in the Himalayas. A drive of another 4 km will take you to the Magnetic Hill which defies the law of gravity & further drive through the picturesque landscape, you’ll reach the Confluence of the Indus and Zanskar River. Drive back to Leh enroute visit Spituk Monastery which was built in 15th century. Evening at leisure and overnight stay at Leh.

DAY 03:  LEH - NUBRA VALLEY (132 KMS, 4 - 5 HOURS)

After early breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley crossing Khardung-la-pass - the highest motorable road in the world at 18,380 ft. Nubra Valley is situated to the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram Range and Ladakh range of the Himalayas.  On the way, visit Diskit Monastery. Check in to the camp and later in the evening, visit the sand dunes. Here you can enjoy a camel ride on the Bactrian camel which is known for its double hump (at your own cost). If you like you can also attend a cultural show where the locals display their folk dance (at your own cost). Return back to the camp for overnight stay.

DAY 04: NUBRA – PANGONG LAKE (228 KMS, 5 - 6 HOURS)

After early breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake via Shyok. The route that will be is Nubra Valley – Agham - Shyok Village – Durbuk – Tangste - PangongTso (Lukung). This route will be a little tough and very much dependent upon the weather, just in case it is not operational on the day you are supposed to take this journey, we would use an alternate route.  Pangong Lake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m) is a long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly 6 to 7 kilometres at its widest point and over 130 km in length. It is guarded by the international border between India and China. Enjoy the landscape with the back drop of the lake, one rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Enjoy the overnight stay at the camp.

DAY 05: PANGONG LAKE TO LEH (148 KMS, 4 - 5 HOURS)

Early morning, go and explore the beauty of the lake and after that have breakfast and drive back via Changla Pass to Leh. Enroute to Leh, visit the famous Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastry, Shey Palace. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 06: DEPARTURE FROM LEH

After breakfast, transfer to airport for onward journey.
